Another Personal Best in Innisfail

Monday, 7:30 p.m. ----It's been a summer of "wheredidTHATcomefrom?" and "whoisTHAT?" and the trend continued today in Innisfail. The host club's Kaleb Denham blistered the gorgeous but difficult Innisfail layout today with a sparkling 7-birdie 71 to earn his first Tour win at the tender age of 14. Denham's round was a personal best anywhere in competition by MERELY 11 shots! Talk about expanding your horizons! Cara Vanderham made it an Innisfail sweep today as she fired a fine score of 80 to best the 10 junior girls on hand. I'm heading out for a while to get some supper, and will be back in an hour or two MGD's, whichever comes first. Full results will be on the website later this evening. Alex Rakowski blows away the field at Stony Plain

Sunday, August 8 - 9:15 p.m.---Alex Rakowski of the Edmonton Petroleum Club blew away the field today at the Stony Plain Junior Open, firing a brilliant 6-under par 66 to dominate a field of 86 juniors from across central and northern Alberta. Rakowski's round was low on the Tour this year by 3 shots. Full results including Sydney Johnson-Parker's win in the junior girls division will be on the website by 10 pm... Playoff Win at Country Hills for John MacKinnon

Thursday, August 5, 3:35 p.m. ---John MacKinnon of Willow Park parred the first hole of a sudden victory playoff this afternoon to upset home course favorite Cameron Hill, after each player had fired a 1-over par 72 at the immaculately groomed Ridge Course at Country Hills GCC. Excellent scores were also turned in by the junior girls, as Reagan Wilson of the Glencoe shot a fine 76 to edge Megan Paul of Canyon Meadows and the Derrick's Abbey Gill by one shot. Luc Boutin wins Kevin Hipple Memorial Jr Open

Wednesday, August 4, 4:15 p.m. ---Luc Boutin of Lynx Ridge fired a 1-over par 72 today to capture the 26th annual Kevin Hipple Memorial Jr. Open at Pinebrook GCC in Calgary, Boutin's first Tour win was centered around a 3-birdie in a row stretch on the back nine and was 3 shots clear of Stephen Diederichs of Springbank Links and clubmates Andrew Cook and Brendon Fong of the host Pinebrook club. Evann Parker of Pinebrook was best among the 15 junior girls on hand today with an 80. Full results will be on the website within an hour. 4:50 p.m. ---Full results now on the website. Code of Conduct

The McLennan Ross Sun Junior Golf Tour takes great pride in the quality of its competitors, its host facilities, and the support provided by our Corporate Partners. The efforts of the administrative staff and the volunteers that go into making the Tour so successful demand a very high standard of behavior and decorum from the competitors. We have therefore developed a formal Code of Coduct modeled on that of Alberta Golf that provides a set of guidelines for the young men and women that wish to compete in McLennan Ross Sun Junior Golf Tour events.
