Stony Plain Golf Course has always had an outstanding junior program.  The tournament moves to a Monday in 2011 for the first time, as there had just become too much demand for tee times for the club to justify giving up an entire Sunday afternoon for their Junior Open.

Stony Plain will host the 2011 Sun Life Alberta Men's Amateur Championship, so the course will undoubtedly be in first class condition, and the greens will be VERY fast!  Their signature hole is the 180-yard par-3 #14, all carry over water to a well-bunkered green.

The 2011 tournament will be an afternoon shotgun start at 1:00 p.m.   The course itself is located just south of the railway tracks, south of the Safeway store off Hiway 16.

Code of Conduct

The McLennan Ross Sun Junior Golf Tour takes great pride in the quality of its competitors, its host facilities, and the support provided by our Corporate Partners. The efforts of the administrative staff and the volunteers that go into making the Tour so successful demand a very high standard of behavior and decorum from the competitors. We have therefore developed a formal Code of Coduct modeled on that of Alberta Golf that provides a set of guidelines for the young men and women that wish to compete in McLennan Ross Sun Junior Golf Tour events.
