One of the four remaining charter members of the Tour dating back to 1996, Lacombe GCC is well known for their lightning fast greens and excellent course conditioning.

The tournament is also one of two memorial junior Opens on the Tour, held in remembrance of a former club junior, Jordan Brand, who passed away much too early in his life.  We hope to see Jordan's parents at the event again this year, helping out with the tournament.

Don't be fooled by the relatively short tournament yardage, only about 6,000 yards for the boys and 5,174 for the girls.  The smallish, fast greens are MORE than an equalizer! Key scoring holes down the stretch are the difficult back-to-back par-3's,,,#15 and #16.  Starting time is a 9:00 a.m. shotgun.

The course is on the west side of the town, about 1.5 km. from the exit off Hiway 2.  Good map on their website.

Code of Conduct

The McLennan Ross Sun Junior Golf Tour takes great pride in the quality of its competitors, its host facilities, and the support provided by our Corporate Partners. The efforts of the administrative staff and the volunteers that go into making the Tour so successful demand a very high standard of behavior and decorum from the competitors. We have therefore developed a formal Code of Coduct modeled on that of Alberta Golf that provides a set of guidelines for the young men and women that wish to compete in McLennan Ross Sun Junior Golf Tour events.
