Excellent kick-off to the Tour schedule for 2009. Golden is about a three hour drive west of Calgary, but well worth the trip. The course has often been ranked in the Top 100 in Canada and for good reason.
The course features some severely sloping greens, plenty of elevation changes, and fantastic scenery! The tournament set-up is usually from the Whites for junior boys (6,326 yards) and from the Red tees for junior girls (5,472), Par is 72. Their signature hole is #11, a gorgeous par-4 with a mountain stream tumbling down the hillside right beside the tee box.
