Drayton Valley has always enjoyed fantastic support from the local business community for their junior program. (Translation = GREAT prizes!)

The course underwent an extensive renovation a few years ago, with the front 9 almost completely rebuilt. Long gone are some of the small 'inverted saucer' greens and the course is now an excellent test of golf!  Lots of trees, bent grass greens and a Saturday morning start time!

Drayton Valley is about 90 minutes southwest of Edmonton.  The tournament has a 10 a.m. shotgun start, but leave plenty of travel time for registration and warmup.  The course is about 2 km. north of the town limits on Hiway 22.

Setup is usually Whites for boys (6,255 yards) and Reds for girls (5,591 yards).  Key hole is maybe #14, a 501 yard par-5 for the boys with water hazards left, trees everywhere.  We have seen everything from eagle to double digits on this one.

Code of Conduct

The McLennan Ross Sun Junior Golf Tour takes great pride in the quality of its competitors, its host facilities, and the support provided by our Corporate Partners. The efforts of the administrative staff and the volunteers that go into making the Tour so successful demand a very high standard of behavior and decorum from the competitors. We have therefore developed a formal Code of Coduct modeled on that of Alberta Golf that provides a set of guidelines for the young men and women that wish to compete in McLennan Ross Sun Junior Golf Tour events.
